My food philosophy is always evolving. Having children and entering into this new season of life makes things shift in the kitchen. What remains is that I eat mostly healthy foods and am not afraid to indulge here and there. No guilty pleasures here. I feel if I take care of myself most of the time, theres no reason to feel guilt for digging in to some fried chicken every now and then.
I’ve loved cooking since I was a little girl. I can remember helping my dad make dinner, learning about what flavors go together, how different techniques create different results, tasting raw spices (I don’t recommend it)… Anyway, the kitchen is my happy place and I find peace, a meditative quality, from cooking. When time allows, I still love to spend hours alone in the kitchen, making the things that only time and attention can create. However, more often than not nowadays, time (and a spare hand) is limited so I tend to prepare quick meals or things that don’t require a ton of hands-on effort. You’ll find a variety of recipes over time on my page, varying from different strategies and methods to feed yourself and your family in mostly healthy, always delicious ways. Enjoy!
