I’ve been very very verrrry slow to hop on board with this trend that is seemingly everywhere. I like it on other people but I’m always cautious on myself because I’m afraid it could read “old hippie” on me 🤣. Seriously! It’s the same reason I’m afraid of kimonos. Therapists in general have stereotypes that I’m sensitive to and I can easily see myself slipping into… kimonos, flowing skirts, Birkenstock’s, bangles, and a nose piercing (all things that miraculously are in fashion again… uh oh!). Anyway, you never know until you try and I was pleasantly surprised!
(For reference, I’m 5’6” and wear an xs/26. The tee in all of these outfits is linked here, wearing a S.)
This one is the reason for this whole try-on! I saw it when I came in the store last week to get something else, and couldn’t stop thinking about this color! It’s a true kelly green in person but runs large. I’m wearing an XS and it’s just too big. The fabric is thin but not see-through and does not offer much stretch. Size down!
THESE! 🥰 The material is thicker and can take you into cooler months (or aggressive office AC now) with ease. The high waist is super flattering and they run TTS. I’m wearing a small here but needed my true XS to prevent them from falling. They would have come home with me if they had my size in stock!
This one treads into that granola therapist thing I was talking about. I like it for someone who works in an office or even a teacher. You can dress it up with heels or down with white sneakers. TTS. (I’m wearing a S and it’s a little big.)
Last but not least! This was most surprising find for me. I truly did not think I’d like these but I was pleasantly surprised. Work appropriate clothes that make me feel like I’m in pajamas? Sign me up! The pictures online show them as cropped but as you can see, they’re not. It’s either photoshopped or the model is 6’6” 🤣. The material is a poly and doesn’t stretch, but there is elastic in the back of the waistband to ensure a comfy fit. TTS, wearing XS.
