The same people that obsess over eating organic, low carb, non-gmo, etc. are also the people who text and drive, skip the seatbelt, and bike without a helmet. Wait. What? Seriously. Let’s let that marinate.
We care so deeply about our health. Eat clean, non GMO, organic, foods. Exercise. Take probiotics. Detox. Blend essential oils to optimize health. Die in a car accident resulting from the distraction of an insta-story. It doesn’t add up.
I think so many of us are searching for the next best thing to live our best, most healthful lives that we forget about the most basic things we can do with so little effort. Safety is one of those things that all creatures great and small are programmed to search for as a priority for survival. We are becoming such evolved, educated consumers that we know more than any generation before us. Is there no space in our brains for that basic need any longer?
Maybe it’s time to get back to basics.
1. Protect the body.
2. Nourish the body.
3. Love the body.
It’s often the simplest changes that make the biggest impact. Love to everyone and I wish you a safe and healthy week.
